Monthly BIPOC Group

Special Newcomer/Guest Break-out Room Every Sunday After the Service
Newcomers and other guests, whether you have attended one virtual service or many, please join us in a special break-out room any Sunday during the social time following the service. You are welcome to participate in this break-out room more than once. It will be an opportunity for you to get to know us and us to get to know you. You can also share about what brought you to UUCT and ask questions you might have. And if you would rather just participate in one of the general break-out rooms during social time, you are always invited to do so. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the break-out room or about the church, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
– The Welcome Team (Trudy Deyle, Sally Andersen and others)
You are welcome to join us every Sunday from 3 PM to 4 PM on Zoom. We are a community of meditators who come together for a chance to center ourselves with calm and focus. Each week a member of the group leads the meditation, drawing from a variety of Buddhist thought. Our usual practice starts with a guided meditation or a passage reading while seated, followed by a walking meditation, then finishing with a silent meditation. At the conclusion, we share our experiences with each other.
Whether you are new or seasoned to the practice of meditation, all are welcome. Please email Ardenkelly@yahoo.com for the Zoom link invitation to be sent to you every Saturday.
Arden Kelly is a Director & Teaching Artist Acting/Voice & Speech/Voiceover/Singer pursuing a Masters in London.
Allies for Racial Equity (ARE@UUCT)
How to Be a Compassionate Warrior for Justice
Do you have family or friends who deny that racism is a specific problem that needs to be addressed? Join Allies for Racial Equity (ARE@UUCT) on Monday, July, 26 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom to learn techniques from the Dialogue Company, founded by Dr. David Wiley Campt. Carolyn DuBard will lead us through a technique that empowers and equips us with the R.A.C.E. Method, a unique approach designed from best practices of non-violent communication (listening, storytelling, and compassion) and the neuroscience of persuasion. Contact Linda Wright for the Zoom link.
Join us weekly via Zoom for a synergistic interfaith spiritual practice of many forms of singing, chanting, and group observation of silence.
The goal is to help each participant reach a place within themselves where they can connect with the Divine, their Inner Core, the Spirit of Life; wherever they find Peace. Led by Angel de Armendi, Music Director.
Singing Meditation will is on an alternating Tuesday/Thursday rotation schedule. Our next gathering will be Tuesday, July 27 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
If interested in joining or for more information, contact Music Director Angel de Armendi at email@example.com
